Descripción del Artículo

"THE MALTESE FALCON....CONTINUED or "THE BLACK BIRD" By David Giler First Draft Screenplay: May, 1972; Rastar Pictures, Inc. Very good to near fine in red bradbound wraps. Quarto. 151 white pages duplicated on rectos only. "The Black Bird" was eventually filmed in 1975 with direction by David Giler in his first and only directorial effort. The comedy "sequel" film, panned by critics and the audience alike, stars George Segal as Sam Spade, Jr., with Lee Patrick and Elisa Cook, Jr. reprising their roles from the original 1941 film. Giler was hired by Ray Stark (who owned the rights) to adapt The Maltese Falcon. After an unsuccessful collaboration with John Milius, Giler then decided to turn the project into a comedy under his own direction which was produced by Rastar Pictures.
