The Imperial Star Destroyer is simply the most recognisable space ship designs of all time. While making this prop, we have aimed to capture the aesthetic and details of the original one made by the group of Stan Winston himself. Introduction: We think this spacecraft doesn't need to be presented since all of us remember clearly for the opening scene of New Hope where we had the first chance to see the greatness of the Empire's massive dagger-shaped capital ship. The jewel of the Kuat Drive Yards is one of our all time favourite creation from the galaxy far, far away. This special one is a class II. Imperial Star Destroyer which is the upgraded model of the class I. with some minor differences in the design. Materials and Processing: The ship was made with a precise 3D printer from high quality PLA filament. After the 7-day printing period and subsequent assembly, a significant amount of sanding and primer painting were necessary before moving on to applying the final paint layer and attention to detail. In our opinion all the effort was worth it, since as you can see in the pictures the final result is really close to the models which were used in the original movies.
