Descripción del Artículo

Tested 7 CDs are mint each in paper sleeve. Macmillan Digital Audio London. Box backside soiled with couple printed numbers. If you are into Psychology, you will enjoy this. Author interviews numerous physicians, psychiatrists, asylum patients and others. He reviews the current DSM IV (disorder) book which has grown quite large (almost 900 pages). Note the word psychopath is not yet included in this manual - it is still referred to as anti-social behavior. The current questionnaire for assisting the prognosis of psychopathy is reviewed and one discovers that nearly everyone has some of the elemental faults. However, of the 33 questions it is still unclear whether 10 or 20 or X qualifying responses are enough (one case he discusses had 30/33) to be considered troubled and dangerous. Since the current thinking is that a psychopath cannot be 'rehabbed', a mis-prognosis could end with a subject being in a state hospital for a lifetime. The book also brings in scientology aspects and their negativism on the whole psychotherapy practice. While there are no definitive answers for either the prognosis or treatment, this book provides much food for thought.
