This book is not about the Little Miss Muffet who was scared by a spider, but, rather, about a cat that goes into hiding from her young owners. You see numerous examples of the softbound, 1959 or 1970 editions (which were named Where is Miss Muffet?), but not many of this 1946 hardbound (1st) edition.
The cover is a bit ragged on the corners, scratched and lightly spotted, but is still nicely flat and attractive. The interior is in excellent condition, with minor foxing, but no jarring spots. There are no tears folds, bends or markings. There is, however, a Brownie Scout ex libris label on the first page (actually, that might add some cachet!)
Dimensions are: 11" x 8" x 1/3".
