Descripción del Artículo
PENNSYLVANIA COIN SILVER TEASPOON BY R.C. GREEN POTTSVILLE c.1850 5.5?L 17g.
Not a great deal of information other than Robert C Green apprenticed in Philadelphia and moved to Pottsville PA, married and began working as a jeweler and watchmaker there in 1846 making all things silver. His son Robert C Green took over the business in 1864 so presumably this spoon was crafted between 1846-1864. He later became a Director of the Pottsville Safe Deposit Bank and died in Pottsville in 1912. Subsequent generations continued the business in some form or another.
This spoon is perfect for a PA or Northeast silversmith collector. It is monogrammed JMM or JHH or something similar. There are three additional marks we were unable to identify and we have a photo included. It is a traditional Fiddleback pattern, 5.5 inches in length and weighs 17g.
Will ship USPS first class with tracking to winning buyer
