This increases heat resistance, minimizes piston expansion and contraction and reduces the coefficient of friction. * HYPEREUTECTIC CAST A hypereutectic cast piston is a piston with increased silicon content, The end result is a piston that has an increased hard ness, is more resistant to wear, and has an increased ability to withstand higher cylinder temperatures, pressure, and detona tion. This helps reduce expansion from heat, makes the piston more durable and resistant to wear and allows the piston to run tighter clearances. * MACHINED SMOOTH HEADS A machined smooth piston crown should reflect combustion heat while reducing carbon buildup and protecting the top of the pis ton. Some tests have shown that a machined smooth head can increase HP and fuel economy by up to 6%. *MOS2 is composed of sub-micron sized particles of solid lubricant and resin blends of solvents. This coating is rolled on, so it provides 10 times the bond strength of spray on coatings. This draws heat through piston walls and out the bottom, reduces heat and friction for added power and longevity and helps eliminate cold seizures and increases durability.
