50s Prestone Anti Freeze Thermometer 36" and 40 similar items

A great piece of history direct from the 1950s - an original Prestone large ceramic advertising thermometer fresh with a replacement glass thermometer tube ready to be installed. When I purchased this piece, the glass tube had been damaged as so many of them were. I sourced an exact replacement but decided against mounting it myself. The replacement glass tube thermometer and the original wooden backer will be provided and are ready to be mounted in the original ceramic advertising piece. Overall condition of the thermometer surround is good for its age with bright graphics. There is some perishing to the ceramic coating, as shown in photos. To re-iterate in hopes of being completely transparent - the metal and ceramic piece is an ORIGINAL 1950s advertising thermometer surround.
