Curtain Photography Wall Art SilkScreen Hand Printed James Mauch Cotton OOAK Faces Lovers Backdrop This is a handprinted silk screen by the late artist James Mauch 1989 James Mauch was a well known artist in Mid Michigan. His work was really quite unique and he was incredibly talented. He fell on hard times after his employer of 23 years in the printing industry merged with another company and did not take him with them in the merger. He had serious health issues with his legs from standing all those years on the cement floor for long hours. He was not finding work in his arena and could not see the way to do his art to support himself and pay for medical care. Sadly he had struggled with emotional highs lows his whole life. He felt he could go on no longer and committed suicide. It has been a very difficult time for those of us that cared for him. I have a collection of his work from over many years. His family did not value it. This piece I purchased from him many years ago. It is really incredible when you look closely at all the images in layers. I can't find the exact measurements right now but it is aprox 45? x 108? feet. He called these drop cloths and they can be washed as the printing is permanent.
