Descripción del Artículo

A vintage twentieth century travelog for the new Airflow de soto America's first real aerodynamic car Brochure. Sepia-toned photos show the 4-Door Passenger Sedan, the 2-Door 6-Passenger Sedan, and the 3-Passenger Coupe with Rumble Seat. Drawings illustrate engineering, construction, ventilation, and safety features. A full page is devoted to a list of more than 70 special attributes of the Airflow De Soto. Another page describes more than 20 technical and engineering aspects of the car. The booklet is in very good condition. The first two pages are bent at one corner. The are a few smudges from handling. It is in good condition with lots of pictures and information. The DeSoto Airflow, advertised in "Twentieth Century Travelog" as "America's First Real Aerodynamic Car," was a full-sized automobile produced by DeSoto from 1934 to 1936. It was a notable example of early streamlined design, using wind tunnels and aerodynamics in its construction. However, the Airflow was not a commercial success due to its advanced design and manufacturing challenges, which led to poor sales and its eventual discontinuation
