This is the ROD seal to rebuild the hydraulic cylinders that locks your Vario retractable roof to the windshield, with a Multipage Illustrated Guideline a useful Pick tool for removing the old seal
The U cup seal in the kit is an upgrade to the OEM seal, which is not capable of withstanding the aggressive/corrosive hydraulic fluids. The Enhanced Polyurethan compound used in this seal is exceptionally resistant to petroleum based oils, found in hydraulic fluids used in the Mercedes Benz convertible top hydraulic system.
