Descripción del Artículo

Here I have listed a lot of 10 Bare Root Heirloom Comfrey Plants! I will ship these plants as bare roots. The flower photos are of these Heirloom Comfrey plants. I am noticing there is some variety in the flower color from one plant to another. Which makes sense since I started my original plants from many seeds. The third photo shows some of the variations. I hesitate to share a photo of the roots since it varies from one plant to another! However, I know that I would like to have an idea what I am purchasing. Please remember your plant roots may be smaller than the one pictured. During the growing season I trim off all the large leaves for shipping. Thus reducing stress for the plant. If possible I leave one or two small leaves on the plant. I grow these from Organic Seed or from root cuttings, in organic potting soil mixed with compost. I cannot say these are strictly organic because sometimes non-organic kitchen scraps make it to the compost pile, etc. However I do not use any non-organic sprays or fertilizers on them. This is Heirloom Comfrey which will spread itself by seed or by root! If you have a small garden or do not want your comfrey spreading like crazy you may prefer my Bocking 14 Comfrey. See my listing for Bocking 14 Comfrey. Comfrey has a very deep root system. Consequently it brings up nutrients from far below. It is a very hardy perennial herb plant. USES FOR COMFREY: Some use comfrey for salves and such. It makes excellent garden plant fertilizer! It grows fast. When it is ready to bloom or blooming you can cut it down and use the large leaves as mulch around your plants or you can use the leaves to make a tea for your plants or just add the leaves to your compost pile. Pollinators love the flowers! Last but not least, it is a nutritious and delicious green feed for chickens, goats, pigs, cattle, etc. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any issues with placing your order! I am here to assist you! :) I generally check emails at least 2 times a day (except not on Sunday), so I generally will get back with you promptly! Please check out my other listings as well.
