With frontispieces to tomes 'I', 'III', 'VII', 'Vi', 'IV', 'III', 'II', 120 plates to 'Tome IX', illuminated letters and a folding map to 'Tome I'. Collated complete.
This set features a collection of works by French Renaissance writer, physician and monk, Francois Rabelais. Rabelais is best known for his satirical work and songs.
CONDITION
Bound in half vellum with paper to the boards. Externally generally smart with slight rubbing to the boards and marks to the vellum. Paper within is crisp, age spots present as expected with age.
