Description
Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver carved obsidian tribal mask with articulated masks that hang from the side. Stamped sterling silver pin from Mexico and from the style of work I would say in the Taxco Mexico style. The obsidian (volcanic glass) face mask is hand carved and when combined with the silver work it has a distinct tribal appearance.
Please note on the backside upper right there is a very small dent , this is how I purchased this item at an estate sale 25 years ago. This does not take away from this great piece of craftsmanship.
There are no cracks or repairs, the clasp is original and in working condition.
