This necklace has a lot going on and we really were not sure which feature to list in which order. Let?s start with the leather braiding which is held together at both ends by sterling silver (marked 925) Bali style clasps or baubles. Each of the 14 pearls is approximately 4mm wide. We don?t know if these are south sea pearls or freshwater pearls but feel it?s likely they are real when paired with a precious metal like sterling silver. This fine necklace was purchased at a recent very upscale estate sale. Only the 925 marks on the baubles are visible. No makers mark that we could find but it is marked China next to the 925.
