From Wikipedia: ?Bidriware is a metal handicraft from the city of Bidar in Karnataka, India. It was developed in the 14th century C.E. during the rule of the Bahmani Sultans. The term "bidriware" originates from the township of Bidar, which is still the chief center of production. The metal used is white brass that is blackened and inlaid with silver.?
This is a small pill box or ring/jewelry box with a very cool geometric design using inlaid silver. As stated above, the rest of the box is also metal but made out of white brass that is blackened.
This box is just a bit longer than 2.75?X1.5?. It is 1 inch tall when closed and two inches tall when open with lid up.
