Apollo 11 Lunar Module Metal Earth Steel Model Kit NEW SEALED #MMS078 This amazingly detailed model starts as two 4" square sheet and finishes as a 3-D model. This was a two part spacecraft used to carry a crew of two from lunar orbit to the surface of the moon and back. The descent stage served as the launch pad for the ascent stage plus it housed the landing gear, engines and fuel needed for landing. Six such craft successfully landed on the Moon between 1969 and 1972. The sheets contain detailed laser etching for easy removal and when completed measures 2.34" x 2.34" x 2.15" with moderate difficulty. Complete instructions are included to show you how to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points with an average assembly time of 30-45 minutes.
