It is square and a little over 3 1/2 inches across. It is about 1 inch high. It is clear glass, and not discolored. The image at the bottom is a transfer or decal, but is in perfect condition. Sometimes the image begins to scratch off this type of product, but this one is intact. There have never been ashes in this ash tray.
