This is a very good example Naif Art done by Jacinta dos Santos , a Ceramicist from Jequitinhonha Valley in the state of Minas Gerais , Brazil The bird like figure measures 13" tall by 4" radius base and has 3 ceramic flowers built in around its top perimeter plus a long trunk that connects to the bird body all in one piece thus making this piece a good example of anthropomorphism. This piece belongs to my private collection of Brazilian Folk art and has been kept in storage for years until now.Piece has been in storage for 27 years and is signed by the artist All the ceramic pieces in our listings are handmade and hand painted by well known artisans from the state of Pernambuco, Northeast of Brazil.
