Descripción del Artículo

Vintage original 26.75 x 39.74 in. US double-sided one-sheet poster from the popular 2000's action sci-fi superhero drama, SUPERMAN RETURNS, released in 2006 by Warner Bros. and directed by Bryan Singer. Superman (Brandon Routh) returns to Earth after spending five years in space examining his homeworld, Krypton. But he finds things have changed while he was gone, and he must once again prove himself important to the world. The image features a great shot of Superman (Brandon Routh) wearing the famous costume as he hovers in space above the Earth and his cape billows above him. This is the more desirable double-sided "first" advance one-sheet poster, which was issued for display in a light box at theaters before the film was released. It is dated "06.30.06" at the bottom center. Warner Bros. subsequently issued a second advance one-sheet that is dated "Wednesday 06.28.06" once the film's US general release date was finalized. Unrestored and rolled as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine condition with some very small creases beneath the top border from handling over time which are unobtrusive. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. The last line of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) is Superman saying to Luthor, "See you in twenty." That scene was filmed in 1986. Coincidentally, twenty years later, Superman Returns (2006) was released. Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, and Kevin Spacey signed on without having read the script. When director Bryan Singer became interested in possibly hiring Brandon Routh, he arranged for them to meet in a coffee shop. When they met at their table, Routh stumbled and spilled hot coffee all over the table. Although he panicked, thinking he had just lost the part, Singer laughed and said it actually helped him get the part. The incident convinced Singer that Routh could pull off the clumsy, bumbling Clark Kent.
