Cast Iron Teapot Item C – 1232 Welcome, This listing is for one vintage, used cast iron teapot. This particular pot is styled after the Japanese tetsubin teapot. It has a dot embossed texture around the body. It has 4 pieces, body, lid, handle, and strainer. The handle folds to either side. It holds 600 ml – 20 oz. - 2 1/2 cups of liquid. Being made of cast iron, it has the ability to distribute heat evenly and to retain heat for longer periods of time. There are no manufacturer’s mark or name on this pot. This pot has a stainless steel mesh strainer so you can use loose tea. The pot interior and lid are enamel coated which guarantees no metallic taste and resists rust.
