This vintage, rare chalkware figure is a sleepy dachshund with handpainted details. Overall color is a warm toffee brown with black. There are a few small areas of color loss and surface chips. Consistent with age and use as a doorstop. Bottom of figure is unmarked. The figure is very heavy. Similar doorstops have been researched online. Mid century time line of the 1950's. Measures about 3.5" tall X 11.5" long X 6" wide.
