There are few very minor paint chips. Crazing throughout both pieces. There are no major cracks or chips to the ceramic. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS! Set of two vintage Art Deco style performing circus elephants balancing a yellow ball upon their trunks. This matching pair of figurines are hand-painted, crafted of ceramic pottery, and feature a semi-matte gloss as a finishing touch. Please note that one of the elephants has a glossier finish than the other. The difference is most prevalent when focusing on the yellow ball ornaments being balanced on the trunks. Two wonderful pieces of English Pottery brought to life by Crown Devon. Both pieces are signed "Made In England, Crown Devon" on the bottom and stamped with a signature royal crown. They were made some time in the 1920's or 1930's, certainly making them vintage and almost antique! After much research, I have found these figurines to be quite a rare find. It's undeniably special to find but one of these figurines, but to stumble upon a matching pair is quite extraordinary!
