General care: One of our absolute favorites ? this Dendrobium is easy to grow and has stunning red blooms. It seems like there are different sizes for the same species, some plants can be medium size, but the offered ones are dwarf form small size faciferums. The do go semi-deciduous and oldest canes will loose leaves but it does not necessarily happen after each growing season, they can hold leaves for years. They do bloom mostly on leafless canes, but they can bloom on the canes with leaves (some pictures show old canes that have spots after the buds). Blooms appear anytime between January-June and last for several weeks. We do stop fertilizing for this species in October and reduce watering for winter months till new growths appear in the spring.
