Live stand-up performance from comedian Doug Stanhope, recorded in a disused factory in Oslo, Norway. Stanhope, known for his misanthropic delivery and willingness to engage with taboo subjects that for some render him offensive, here takes on a tough comedic challenge: performing in front of an audience who don't speak English as a first language and outwith a traditional comedy venue. The result is a recording very much in tune with the abrasiveness of Stanhope's act, with an improvised feel that perhaps comes closer to the live comedy club experience than the gloss of a more conventional stand-up recording.
