A very unique and special item, guaranteed to be an authentic vintage item and not any kind of a reproduction. Kind of hard to believe today that anybody would use something of this quality for their cigarettes, but there is a spot next to the handle where they apparently put them out. Otherwise though does not show much by way of wear. Fantastic slip decoration in the form of a dragon. About 5 1/2" square. Meticulous construction; appears to me to have been fired, glazed, painted, then further decorated and fired again, then a few final details in more paint. Marked as "Made In Japan" on the bottom. The colors in the photo came out just a little darker than it is. Everyone wants a dragon and you might never see another one of these.
