This is for a black and white copy of 6 different old fashion ladies taken from vintage McCall #1791 transfer. The ladies are to be embroidered.Could be done in redwork, bluework or all colours. These are "Godey's Ladies" of the 1860's know from the famous fashion plates of Peterson's Magazines of the mid to late 1800's.Designs are great for framing, tea towels, quilt blocks or other household linens. Each motif averages 5"x7.25".2 ladies with tea cups,2 ladies drying dishes 2 ladies serving tea/coffee from a jug.".....These Crinoline Fashion Plates are equally charming as small pictures or tea towels decorations.Embroider them on pastel linen or linen-like cotton using six-strand cotton in a darker shade highlighted with white. The stitches are outline,lazy-daisy,french knots, blanket stitch.Edge towels with white eyelet ruffling baby rickrack.Frame pictures accented with velvet ribbon...." To use this copy you will either need to trace the design with a transfer pen and then iron onto fabric or trace it with a pencil directly onto fabric.
