This is a lovely hand carved shell brooch of a lovely Gatsby style lady, very detailed, with flowers in her hair, reminds me of the roaring 20's with her hair style and accessories. This is a piece from my Grandmother's estate jewelry collection. Very old but in wonderful condition and simply beautiful. It is a gold filled or gold plated frame done in fantastic filigree style. The carved shell is just awesome with a cream color cameo with pinkish tints and champagne color background. A piece anyone would be thrilled to receive as a gift and enjoy wearing for years. It has a roll over type safety clasp and the shell is prong set. It is simply gorgeous and a wonderful heirloom piece to have. It will come in it's own jewelry box with jewelry cotton for safe keeping through the years. It is 1-3/4" tall and a little over 1-1/4" wide.
