COMMENTARY This medal is composed of its attachment to the insignia (armour, sword, cannon, axe, anchor, etc.) and the yellow ribbon edged in green. Medallion with attachment: 50 mm. Diameter without bail: 27 mm. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND ... THIRD REPUBLIC (4/09/1870-10/07/1940) The news of the capitulation of Sedan causes the revolution of September 4, 1870 in Paris.
