Descripción del Artículo

Vintage 16mm Black and White Film with Audio Strip on 7" Reel, in Metal Canister. Beginning of film has been clipped and there is no title. This is an industrial training film, but the precise nature of the manufacturing trade is not evident. (Rolling the film and listening to the audio track would more than likely resolve that question.) We see a machinst, a focus on metal filings and shavings on the floor, apparently to demonstrate how flammable they are. There is a shot of an oil absorbent compound. The message appears to be to stress the potential for combustion from mixing oil or contaminating areas, perhaps involving a particular metal such as magnesium. Circa 1940s or 1950s. Film length approximately 200 feet. Running time approximately 14-16 minutes. Condition: Film is in very good condition. No "vinegar syndrome" or odor detected. Comments:
