It may require a longer downtime since the exfoliation process may take several days. Previous AHA treatments may be required before its application to ensure a more even exfoliation and faster recovery time. Jessner 14% Peel is a superficial to medium depth peeling agent with a combination of Resorcinol, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid and it is designed for treating more extensive damage than AHA?s can improve. Jessner's Peel solution is more suitable for improvement of acne, oily skin, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and photodamage. Preparation can affect penetration of the peeling agent and the overall efficacy of the peel. Preparation can also decrease the potential to develop post peel complications. INGREDIENTS SD Alcohol 40B, Salicylic Acid 14%, Lactic Acid 14%, Resorcinol 14% (pH 2) HOW TO USE Not for sensitive skin. Always perform a patch test behind the ear to test sensitivity. Perform a degreasing step with pre peel solution and an alcohol pad, apply one layer of the peel with a gauze pad, skin may turn white, leave on skin several minutes until stinging subsides, then neutralize and a calming peel off mask may be necessary. Always apply sunscreen at the end of procedure. INDICATION Oily, acneic skin, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and photodamage.
