Descripción del Artículo

Lady Elsie May blooms are a beautiful coral rose color, and the shape of the blossom is gorgeous. The buds are so nice and pointy. I found the color is so outstanding, and usually the photos do not do it justice. This is a carefree rose for beginners and very drought tolerant. It is so easy; I would say it is almost like a knockout rose that it is always in bloom, but with much nicer flowers. HelpMeFind.com (the premier rose website) says of this wonderful rose: Orange-pink Shrub. Registration name: Angelsie. Exhibition name: Lady Elsie May. Bred by Reinhard Noack (Germany, before 2001). Introduced by Angelica Nurseries in 2002 as 'Lady Elsie May'. Shrub. Orange-pink. Moderate rose fragrance. 10 to 11 petals. Average diameter 3". Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Prolific, continuous (perpetual) blooms throughout the season. Long, pointed buds. Medium, bushy, dense, upright. Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets. Height: 3' (90cm). Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm). USDA zone 5a through 9b. Can be used for beds and borders, container roses, cut flowers, garden, or landscape. Heat tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant.. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood, and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Inventors: Noack; Reinhard (Gutersloh, DE) By cross-pollination of the variety known as `Repandia` (an unpatented light pink shrub rose, W. Kordes' Sohne, 1982) with the variety known as `Gruss an Angeln` (an unpatented medium red hybrid tea rose, Noack Rosen, 1986), Triploid Repandia (shrub, Kordes, 1982) Gruss an Angeln. Ploidy determination by David Zlesak. Disclaimer: Please understand that we cannot be responsible for your results, so let me know if they arrive damaged. We have no control over its environment or care. We grow the plants ourselves, and always use a good, well-lit, well-drained planting medium for planting. Place the plants in a bright location outside, but not in direct sunlight. You may have damage to the leaves during shipping - this is normal and only cosmetic - new leaves will grow quickly with proper care. We do our best to package your plant with care to cause minimal or hopefully no damage to its leaves damage it, but it happens. It is important to read all the information about this plant to understand the approximate size. Some varieties of roses are susceptible to black spot or mildew, and some are not. This is mainly cosmetic in nature, and once the rose is planted and goes through a short term of transplant shock, the plant will recover and sprout out new, fresh leaves, provided the plant is treated with care. WE DELIVER WITHOUT POT, bare root, wrapped in wet padding, and placed in a plastic bag, ensuring the roots arrive wet and vibrant. We send receiving and planting instructions with every order. There is always some stress from traveling, but plants are very hardy. If your plant arrives with serious problems, you MUST notify us immediately (no more than 24 hours from receipt and provide photographs. Please treat it like a puppy in a box.
