Ladybug Beetle Insect Brooch Pin Seeka Israeli Artist Industrial Laser Judaica Stavit and Nachshon Artisans Handcrafted Design Original Card Hand Painted Crafted Whimsical Nature Bug One-of-a-Kind Handmade Wearable Art Designed and Made in United States U.S.A. This lovely and delightful insect or ladybug comes on the original card and was made by Israeli born artists Nachshon Peleg and Stavit Allweis. They founded “Seeka”, a line of decorative and wearable Judaica, in 1997, (which is the Hebrew word for “brooch” or “pin”). At the time they were working in their home studio in New York while they were raising a new family. I believe this was one of their older pieces of work, you can Google them to see their new designs. The inside of the card reads “This piece of jewelry is a creation of high technology and skillful hand painting combining laser cut stainless steel, artist’s resin and Austrian crystal for a one-of-a-kind work of art. It was created in Brooklyn, New York by the Israeli artists Stavit and Nachshon, both graduates of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. They bring together complimentary skills from the fields of Industrial Design and Fine Arts to the production of their unique jewelry.” This truly one-of-a-kind piece measures approximately 2 inches in length. This brooch is in excellent pre-owned condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs.
