Two framed pieces of military / government one of a kind correspondence On the left hand side is a copy of the top page of a government report: Commission On The National Guard And Reserves ? Transforming the National Guard and Reserves into a 21st-Century Operational Force Final Report to Congress and the Secretary of Defense January 31, 2008 On the right hand side is the original letter of appreciation to Arthur E. White from the Chairman, Arnold L. Punaro The typed correspondence includes a personal hand-written note from Punaro and his signature. The visible portions of both correspondence are 8 x 11. The matted and glad enclosed frame measures 21 oe x 17 OE In the center of the lower section (under the glass) is a mini-plaque that reads: Arthur E. White CNGR 2005-2008 The full report that was submitted can be found online. The signed correspondence is from Arnold L. Punaro who, according to Wikipedia, is a retired Major General in the United States Marine Corps and the CEO of The Punaro Group. Punaro served in the Vietnam War and earned the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart. In 1993, he served as commander of Joint Task Force Provide Promise, during the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia. As a general officer, he commanded the 4th Marine Division from 1997-2000.
