Native American Haida Flying Eagle Pendant David Kenneth Quist Silver Canadian Sterling Jewelry Cree Northwest Coast First Nation Artist Handmade Hand Crafted Totem Symbol Studio Artisan Metalsmith Vancouver, BC Canada This is a gorgeous engraved pendant made by David Kenneth Quist; it is signed on the back “Design by DKQ” and the title of the piece “Flying Eagle. He was born in 1944 and is a renowned Native American artist who works in mediums of gold and sterling silver. He has pieces of his work in the Smithsonian and the Museum of Civilization in Quebec. His work can also be found in many private collections. He currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. ”. The Eagle symbol is believed to be the animal with the closest relationship to the creator and is known as “The Master of Skies”. The pendant measures approximately 1 inches tall and of an inch wide. It weighs .15 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 4.25 grams. It is in great condition as you can see from the many enlarged photographs. I have not polished it as a nice patina is beginning to form. I know that many people prefer the patina that comes with age; I will leave any polishing up to you. It will shine up nicely if you so desire.
