After much contemplation I believe these are tools used to do lacing on leatherwork. Fair condition, both have rust. The needle is flat, 3 inches long and has a long eye and a small round eye. The thimble is open at the top and was used to push the needle through the hole. It fits on my thumb, but I have fairly slim fingers. No markings on either piece. Feel free to email with questions.
