Also includes a couple envelopes with his name and NY address on them for provenance. Some of the photos are identified on the back. Richard "Dick" Sargent (1911-1979), who was one of The Saturday Evening Post?s most prolific illustrators. He was a Midwesterner born in Moline, Illinois in 1911. His early career in art began just after his graduation from Moline High School, when he went to work for a local printing and engraving plant. The photos vary in size. Many are 3" x 4", 4" x 5" and 5" x 6" and come on original photo paper. This lot comes from a smoke-free home and is in excellent condition. Please see photos for details.
