This book is hard-bound in white cloth with color printing to the covers and spine. Covers and spine are decorated cloth - show some toning and discoloration. Remnant of small label at inside front board. Inside pages are in good condition with only minor toning. The illustrations are in b/w, sepia and color, some are full page. Binding is tight. There are no signatures or markings. Illustrations in excellent condition. Presented in rare original slip-case with heavy toning, some scuffing and frayed edges, scratches. Slipcase is decorated card board and cloth. The slipcase spine edge is starting to crack, but nothing is lose or is coming off. Browning from sun exposure. The book, printed on heavy stock, comprises illustrations in color and monochrome from Picasso`s three sketchbooks on the subject, from 1957 to 1959. The monochrome sections are of Picasso`s black ink and chrome wash drawings. The front endpapers are of the artist`s sketchbook covers, while a full-color reproduction of an 1873 "Malaga Plaza de Toros" poster with a 2x5 color vignette of bull and matador occupies the Rear Endpaper
