Shinkolobweite, Wyartite Shinkolobwe, Katanga, Congo (Type Locality) 2 x 1.5 centimeters An exceptional thumbnail specimen of shinkolobweite and wyartite from the type locality for both species. The shinkolobweite are exceptional with far better form and color than earlier known species. They had been in the famed collection of Rock Currier, misidentified as Kasolite for many years. This was from a large specimen, dropped and broken prior to sale. On purchase we had the shinkolobweite identified by single crystal x ray diffraction that proved them to be exceptional examples of this exceptionally rare species. This is the best remaining specimen with lustrous, well formed orange crystals with yellow to blackish wyartite and an unidentified cream colored mineral.
