Descripción del Artículo

Just under 5 7/8" tall if you hold it with the figure upright. Most is painted onto a sandstone base and I think the turquoise is granulated real turquoise. Traded for this years ago but I don't remember the artist's name, I think it was another vendor not the artist who had it anyway. Traditional or legendary figure identified as a Navajo or Dene Lei. It is very nice and would make a great table piece or could be fixed with a hanger. Art also includes image of arrowhead and symbols for sun and bear claw. I don't know that the bear (or possibly wolf) claw is appropriate for the southwest but modern American Indian art often tends to a broader appeal.
