The cargo doors can open. The booster rockets and fuel tank are made of plastic and are assembled as one single piece. The Space Shuttle and the Booster pack mate by two slots. The space shuttle measures about 7.125 inches in length and 4.6 inches in wing span. The booster/fuel tank combo measures 11 inches tall. The Mobile Launch Platform is made of plastic and measures 6 inches long, 5.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall. Each track set of the platform has a single wheel that can roll. The Space Shuttle and Rockets mate to the platform by pegs inside the booster rockets. When assembled together, the launch system measures about 12.75 inches tall from the ground to the tip of the fuel tank. The astronauts measure about 1.6 inches tall.
