Velcro tabs connect so thatthe book creates a dimensional castle. The only areas of wear are the lower right corners of the covers (very minor, but mentioned), which probably were there when the book was printed. The book has never been folded-around to prevent wear to the spine. Photos show the basic idea of castle wrap-around. Very nice pop-up.
