Descripción del Artículo

Vintage original 27x41 in. US hologram advance one-sheet poster from the classic 2000's action sci-fi franchise, THE MATRIX RELOADED, released in 2003 by Warner Bros. and directed by The Wachowskis. Neo (Keanu Reeves) and his allies (Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss) race against time before the machines discover the city of Zion and destroy it. While seeking the truth about the Matrix, Neo must save Trinity from a dark fate within his dreams. This is a rare single-sided hologram advance (or "teaser") one-sheet poster that was issued for display in theaters before the film was released and it shows the date of 05.15 (May 15, 2003), the date of the film's nationwide US theatrical release. The design features streaming computer code in various shades of green with FREE YOUR MIND, the date, and WWW. THEMATRIX.COM in silver. Photographs of hologram posters are not able to convey the true sense of depth that this process creates, and this poster is really spectacular when seen in person (which is especially apparent when you look into the three sections in silver--very cool!). This particular example, which is rolled as originally issued, was never used. It is in very fine condition with a few small scattered creases from handling only. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws. If you've wanted to acquire this poster and are "condition conscious,", this would be the example to have. It will be professionally shipped rolled in a sturdy to prevent damage while in transit. The special effects for this film alone cost approximately $100 million. Earning in excess of $735 million at the worldwide box office, this was the most commercially successful R-rated movie in history at the time. In North America, it surpassed the nineteen-year record holder Beverly Hills Cop (1984) as the highest grossing R-rated release, though it would be surpassed by The Passion of the Christ (2004) less than a year later.
