Descripción del Artículo

The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit by Beatrix Potter (1986 Hardcover) Author and Illustrator: Helen Beatrix Potter (1866 – 1943) Publisher: Frederick Warne Co., London, England, United Kingdom 1986 It seems as if the bad rabbit would get his way, but events have a different ending for the bad rabbit. The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit is the 20th title in the 23 children's tales. Helen Beatrix Potter (1866 – 1943) was an English writer, illustrator, natural scientist, and conservationist best known for her children's books featuring animals, her first and perhaps most famous being The Tale of Peter Rabbit. In all, Potter wrote thirty books; the best known being her twenty-three children's tales. Frederick Warne Co was founded in 1865 by London bookseller and publisher, Frederick Warne. It is now an imprint of Penguin Random House, a subsidiary of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann and British publishing company Pearson plc. Hardcover has white laminated covers with full color illustrations front rear, black lettering on spine front cover, but no DJ. Square corners and negligible shelf-wear. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked. Opens as if never read. Always privately owned. Size: 24mo - over 5 - 5" tall, 35pp. Condition: Fine (As New) Hardcover w/o DJ - Always Privately Owned. Copyrighted 1906. Originally published in 1906 by Frederick Warne Co. Printed and bound in Great Britian by William Clowes Limited, Beccles and London. This impression 1986. Print-line: 0986. ISBN-10: 0-7232-0611-2. No LCCN. MSR = $4.95. Notes on Condition/Edition ratings: Fine – means like new, but any book produced over 10 years ago isn't “brand new”. Booksellers needed some word to describe this... Like New – A new book, no marks no damage (except maybe remainder marks) except not obtained directly from the publisher or in packaging from the publisher. Very Good – How you or I might take care of a book, closer to “as new” than standard. Might show ownership. Good – How someone else might take care of a book. Also referred to as “standard.” The most likely condition for books of this age title, shows the book has been read or previously owned. Acceptable – How a child, student or a librarian might take care of a book. (Either trying to make sure someone doesn't steal it by plastering ownership everywhere, filled it with copious notes or a book that has been damaged.) Poor – Combination of “acceptable” factors above. Most likely with water damage as well. Might have missing pages (you should ask). Near – Means “almost” in an optimistic sense. e.g., “Near Fine” means very good, but on the high end. 1st Thus – Unique somehow, maybe 1st paperback, new illustrator, misprint or even the 1st edition. A collector might desire this copy. Thanks for looking!
