Thomas Roy Markusen Pair of Vintage ?Tortured? Brutalist Copper Candlesticks
Thomas Roy Markusen (American, born 1940), pair of sculptural copper metal candlesticks featuring an organic, brutalist, and industrial aesthetic. One holder has a flowing, molten-like form, while the other is constructed in a segmented, tubular design open on both sides. The copper patina enhances their aged character. Measurements range from 18 3/4" to 22 3/4". The larger piece is stamped TRM 108 and numbered 50/100, while the smaller piece is stamped TRM 107.
The shorter measures 3 1/2" diameter and 18 3/4" tall.
The taller measures 3 1/2" diameter and 22 3/4" tall.
Together they weigh 5 pounds, 9 ounces.
