Paper size of this direct photo print is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". This print was very likely made soon after it was taken and likely at Saipan itself or on a ship there. This came to me as part of a group identified as being Saipan and included was a shot of the base Chapel which confirms it. The exact date was not noted and as the island is listed in Guinness as being the most consistent climate we can't really tell what time of year this is. This photo is an endearing portrait style shot of an officer, most likely approaching sunset. Very endearing shot. Lighting a bit bright to the face but could be digitally enhanced.
