This is a vary rare USS INTREPID CV-11 8X10 BLACK WHITE PHOTO OF THE FLIGHT DECK DURING WWII SHOWING THE SHIP IN THAT WAS RELEASED FOR THE CREW, NOT FOR PUBLICATION
Undated, this photo was one of a number released and distrubuted on the USS Intrepid during World War 2.
I can not see anything that says it is the USS intrepid, but it shows what appears to be a squadron of F6F Hellcat aircraft preparing to tak off.
The ship had survived numerous kamkazi attacks. It is now a museum in New York City.
It on heavy photo paper and is in fine condition but has wear from handling.
My Uncle served on the USS Intrepid during the war and save several things.
