Descripción del Artículo
Falstaff Lite Beer is a light beer produced by the Falstaff Brewing Corporation, which was founded in St. Louis in 1840 by German immigrant Johann Adam Lemp. The brewery was originally named the Lemp Brewery and was known for its "Blue Ribbon" moniker. The Falstaff brand was sold to the Griesedieck Beverage Company after the Lemp Brewery closed in 1921. Falstaff Lite Beer was popular in the mid-1960s until the brewery closed in Galveston, Texas. The beer was also a sponsor of the Houston Astros in the early 1970s.
Falstaff Lite was brewed in multiple locations, including Cranston, RI, Omaha, Galveston, and Ft. Wayne, Ind. It is a light beer with a medium gold color, dry, effervescent, and with a pronounced hopped tang. The beer is no longer produced by Falstaff, but is currently owned by Pabst Brewing Company.
