This is a vintage marble collection as it belonged to someone who apparently played with them a good bit in his childhood. It seems though like today half the city is downsizing and so I picked these up earlier this month at a large yard sale and they had not been selling them individually. The owner had been playing some of the marble "shooting" games as there are small concave marks on some of but not too many of these where they were struck by another. A few could stand being cleaned as well, if there is a small dirt spot it might be authentic fifties tootsie roll. I believe these likely date to the fifties for the most part and also sixties but that is only an estimate, I am not a marbles expert and a few older or newer could have found their way into the group. There are 18 large ones, a handful of medium size ones and most are regular size marbles. As a very rough estimate i think there may be 150 regular sized opaque ones, a few solid colors but mostly multi-colored, a lot on a white background. A number of very attractive ones. Then there are about a hundred of the kind that are clear or mostly clear or translucent and often have the cats-eye swirls inside them, also regular size. When I first took the photos I did not think they did justice to the true beauty of the glass but having loaded them I guess they are not so bad. Sold as a lot AS-IS. I will be happy to check individual marbles that might be important to you but the time to verify their condition is now, not after the auction has ended or later. There well could be say five or six of them that are worth more than the rest all combined, but when sold as a lot they are all presumed to be of equal value so again, if a few matter to you greatly then please ask about them in advance thank you. Method is a Flat Rate Priority Envelope inside which they will be in a bag taped tightly so they don't rub around and then some bubble wrap. Comes insured and you can't beat the price.
