This is a vintage "early" Shiny Brite mercury glass Christmas ornament with deep indents on both sides. It is from the pre-WWII era (1938-1942) and has the old style cap that reads "Made in the U.S. of A." Silver with green/blue paint in the recessed reflector on each side, it measures 2" across. This one does show age and wear, and the cap doesn't sit flat, so there's surely damage to the neck under the cap (I didn't try to take the cap off to look because I would most definitely make it worse).
