What a sweet Vintage nursery lamp!.. This is a lamp,, a night light and a music box all in one! The nightlight is housed inside the little apple house, it shines out through the top and the little round port-hole windows. The base sits up on 4 ball feet, and the lamp stem is a pretty elongated curved stem. The 3 way switch first turns on the night light inside the apple, then turns on the lamp alone, then the last turn of the switch turns on both together. The man figure is the knob that turns on the music box,, and when it plays the man turns. Turn the man to the left, clockwise he spins to the right, counter-clockwise.. The music is "go to sleep little baby" Original Shade Made in Pawtucket RI in 1977 Condition: Overall very nice. The paint is in great condition,, The music box plays well, a bit slowly. The original shade has some creases and dents. I noticed a tiny nail hole on the base platform between the apple and the man figure. I've located a photo of this same lamp online, and there should be a little yellow duck in that spot.. I think it would be easy to replace with a small mini figure of anything,, cat, bunny, flowers etc. from a craft store. Also, the metal part of the socket neck is a bit tilted but can't be seen under the shade.. The overall height of the lamp is 16" to top of shade. The platform is 9.25 x 6 inches. The shade is 7.5" tall, 12" diameter across the bottom. quick and careful shipping non-smoking thanks!
